The wider site was developed by Berkeley Homes and our involvement related specifically to Block H which was earmarked as a Senior Living Block consisting of 43 units over 6 storeys.
The Senior Living Block provided high quality 1 & 2 bed accommodation together with under-croft car parking for 26 cars, including 4 visitor spaces, a communal lounge with fully fitted kitchen, a meeting room, scheme manager’s office, mobility store, communal laundry room, guest accommodation and a secure communal garden was also provided.
The development is positioned in an excellent location fronting Mount Ephraim Road and all flats within Block H had a hard wired care alarm call system, and pendants were supplied to complement this system.
We were involved from the start and so a full initial review of planning drawings, specification and contract sum was carried out in order to assess the project for value for money and compliance with the client’s requirements.
PSW were pleased to be involved in such a successful project with high levels of customer satisfaction.
PSW’s rigorous project management procedures as well as contractual experience resulted in this project being delivered on budget.
Steven Neal, Director at PSW and Employers Agent for the project said: “The specific requirements of this project were met with high levels of client satisfaction due to the experience and motivation of the project team members and consistent liaison with user groups.”
