Over the past 10 years or so, PSW have increasingly seen a client need for development opportunities with cost certainty and swift procurement procedures. PSW therefore seek to find sites, assess them for financial viability and buildability and work with a variety of design and build contractors to obtain firm costs. This then enables PSW to offer their clients a packaged scheme with a contractor who has considered the risks and is able to agree to a fixed contract sum as well as exploring the options for Joint Venture.

PSW know that there is nothing more important than health and safety and so we take the responsibility of Principal Designer seriously. Our experienced Principal Designers use their communication and organisation skills to plan, manage, monitor and coordinate health and safety in the preconstruction phase of your project. This includes identifying, eliminating or controlling foreseeable risks and ensuring designers carry out their duties.
PSW will help you to fulfil your duties under the act as a commercial client and prepare and provide relevant information to other duty holders as well as liaising with the principal contractor to help in the planning, management, monitoring and coordination of the construction phase.

The European public contracts directive (2014/24/EU) applies to public authorities including, amongst others, government departments, local authorities and NHS Authorities and Trusts. This results in works contracts over the OJEU (the Official Journal of the European Union) threshold which is currently set at £4,104,394 need to be tendered in a particular way.
PSW have years of experience of this and can provide all necessary documentation such as PPQs, RFIs, RFPs, & ITTs. PSW will manage the tender process through to selection and contract award.
